cruelty-free beauty favorites of 2015!
hello! this will be my list of my favorite beauty products from last year, 2015!
(yes, this is kind of late but whatever!)
everything listed is:
- cruelty-free!
- inexpensive & expensive (i will be listing the prices!)
- in local stores such as target, sephora, ulta, etc.!
- ranging from face products (moisturizers, cleansers, wipes, etc.) to makeup (lips, eyes, face, etc.!)
this is not sponsored whatsoever and are *my* personal recommendations!
let's get to it!
i will be starting off with my favorite moisturizers and face care products for the 2015 year!
moisturizers

my first favorite is first aid beauty's ultra repair cream! this bottle is $12 then there is a bigger size for $30! first aid beauty is a great brand founded at sephora and ulta. i'm not sure if it is anywhere else but this stuff i would definitely recommend if you have dry skin! it really really works! especially for the winter season, this stuff will save your life. it also makes your makeup last longer (personal experience with it daily) throughout the day if you put it on before!

my second favorite is lush's vanishing cream moisturizer! this one is kinda pricey but extremely worth it. it prices at $44 for the 1.5 oz tin. if you are allergic to lavender though, don't get it! it is extremely scented and made with lavender (as it says on the product.) i love this moisturizer though, it gives your face such a soft, refreshing feel! it definitely does it's job as a moisturizer and i definitely recommend it if you are a lush customer a lot and you are looking for a good moisturizer!
face wash and wipes

my first face wash was alba botanica's pore purifying mini peel! this one is inexpensive and can be found in drugstores. i bought mine from target for around $7! it gives you a citrus-y, refreshing feel. it minimizes your pores a ton too!

my second one is the yesto daily grapefruit scrub! this is around $7-$10. this is also a drugstore brand and one of my favorites! yesto's products smell so good and refreshing! they are all very good and i love their products. this product really does a good exfoliating job.

elf makeup remover wipes are my absolute favorite! these are only $3 and the best wipes i've ever used. they are also vegan! i really love elf. they are definitely my favorite drugstore brand. i've tried many other makeup wipes, but nothing compares to elf's. they are moisturizing, refreshing, and they don't make you break out!
primers

my favorite primer last year was hard candy's sheer envy perfecting primer! it is $10 (i believe.) i got it from walmart and it is so so so good! definitely a dupe for benefit's porefessional. i love it a lot and it leaves a tacky finish which i love because it makes sure my makeup sticks!

my other favorite primer was smashbox's photo finish color correcting adjust primer! this is only the sample size, i got this for $10 i believe! i got it from sephora and the full product is $30. this stuff goes a really long way though! i love it! it cancels redness beautifully and also leaves a tacky finish.
foundation/bb cream and concealer

i didn't start using foundation again until the second half and end of 2015, but kat von d's lock-it tattoo foundation is a good one for me! i stopped using foundation because i didn't like the look it gave me but i decided to give it a try again and went with kat von d. i really like this foundation! it can be found at sephora. it's $36 but if you are pale, the lightest one is very good. i enjoy this foundation and if you have oily skin, it gives you a nice matte finish!

i used bb cream for most of last year. i really love bb cream more than foundation honestly! it is moisturizing and it gives you more of a natural look. bb cream keeps your skin moisturized too! i really love elf's bb cream. it kinda has a weird smell but i enjoy it a bunch. it is $6! i bought it from target and i am in the color porcelain.

my all time favorite concealer is NYX's full coverage concealer! i love it so so much and i use the color porcelain. this concealer really does cover everything and lasts a long time! i love it! i definitely recommend it and it is only $5. i bought mine from target and it is really good and lasts a long time.

another favorite concealer is the NYX's HD photogenic concealer in lavender! it is good for highlighting and cosplay! it is not very purple-y so it highlights as well as conceal redness with the lavender color it has. this is $6 i believe, but it is really good! i bought this from ulta.
powder, highlighter, and blush

my favorite finishing powder was tarte's pressed powder. it is translucent which i like because i don't like colored powders. this gives you a great finish on your concealer and foundation! it is $35 and i got it from sephora.

one of my favorite highlighters was "lunch money" from colourpop! i love this highlighter so much and the quality of this product is amazing for the price! it is a creamy texture, very different. i love it a ton though! i got it for $8 and i set it with my becca highligther (which will be the next product!) colourpop is a wonderful brand, all their products are so good and last forever!

my other favorite highlighter is "pearl" from becca! i love this highlighter so much oh my goodness! honestly, i could never get another highlighter after this one that gave me the same effect. it is so shiny and sparkly and sooooooo pretty! it was $30 or $35 i think and i got it from sephora! it also stays on for a really long time!

my favorite blush was justify my love by too faced! holy crap, this blush is amazing! it's so pigmented and the color is absolutely lovely. the design also makes my heart melt aaaah! i love it so much. this was $26 and i got it from ultra. it also stays on for 16 hours, how cool!
eyebrows

my only favorite eyebrow product last year was dipbrow by ABH in medium brown! this stuff lasts forever and i love it so so much! it is $18 and this will absolutely make your brows sooooo good looking. this product lasts forever also since it is a pomade!
eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara

my first favorite eyeshadow palette was ABH's self-made! i have all of ABH's eyeshadow palettes and holy crap, these eyeshadows are so pigmented. this palette is $35, but for the quality and amount of eyeshadows you get (14) it is worth it! i got mine from sephora!

my second favorite eyeshadow palette was too faced's chocolate bar! this palette is so simple but pretty. it is also made with cocoa powder so it is so sweet smelling and chocolate-y! i love it! it was $49, but great quality! i got mine from ulta.

my all time favorite eyeliner is elf's black eyeliner. there is no reason for me to try another eyeliner cause this stuff is only $2! it is the best eyeliner i've ever used. for the price, the quality is great and i love it! it glides on so easily and it works so much better than all the high quality brands~

my favorite mascara of 2015 was the urban decay's big fatty mascara! i got this for only $10 at the time because ulta was having a deal on it but it is originally $20 which isn't bad! this absolutely curls your lashes and leaves them not clumpy looking. i enjoy it a lot!
lips

my favorite lip product is copenhagen from NYX! it isn't exactly matte, but the tint it gives is beautiful. i wear this as a daily lip color. it is $6-$7 i believe but these lip creams are gorgeous and the brush is so soft and easy to use!

my second favorite lip product was zipper from colourpop! colourpop's matte lipsticks are the best. literally, they live up to being matte unlike other brands that say they are matte. it was only $6 which is amazing and a little product goes a long way! these will stay throughout the day, throughout meals, throughout anything! the only thing i found that makes it comes off is hot stuff haha. also, these will definitely stain your lips and take a lot of effort to get off!
face wash and wipes

my first face wash was alba botanica's pore purifying mini peel! this one is inexpensive and can be found in drugstores. i bought mine from target for around $7! it gives you a citrus-y, refreshing feel. it minimizes your pores a ton too!
